You’ll have to go into settings > directory and set up some things, like your core directory (making a /.config/retroarch/cores directory and selecting it would be good).

RetroArch is an open source and cross platform frontend/framework for emulators, game engines, video games, media players and other applications. Just download it and then run chmod +x on it to make it executable.
